As a Navigator/Radar-operator, he was killed in a landing accident on 12.08.1944 at A-8 Picauville and buried in Bayeux War Cemetary. A commemorative plaque erected by Veterans of 264 Squadron is on a wall in the Mairie of Picauville. Commonwealth War Graves Commission Commeration
